Azmath always brought a hard-working attitude that was felt throughout the dressing room and raised each players focus and intensity. His dedication to his players was evident and he had great relationships with each individual, mainly because of his upbeat and humorous personality. He always focused on creating a comfortable yet competitive environment, that pushed each player to be the best version of themselves. He was a very strong coach during my time with him. His pre-game talks made the entire team feel connected and as if we couldn’t lose. He cared about the team like family and that was felt by each player and that was what made the team so special. My time with Azmath ended with me signing with the Surrey Knights and I felt that my time with Az significantly helped put me in that position along with many other players who also moved onto junior hockey.
